Produced by George De Angelis & Paddy Williams.
I recorded this whilst playing Roxie Hart in Chicago hence calling it Showgirl.
Back working with George de Angelis on production.
My cover of Hazel O Conner’s Will You from the cult film Breaking Glass. I first heard this when I was 15 and I always wanted to record it. It was number 1 in the uk for ages but never was a hit in the USA.
WHEN AND IF
I wrote this with Robin Hancock and George de Angelis. Kate Bush certainly influenced us, what a great artist.
I discovered the Sam Bonner (singer/songwriter)when I heard this song… very Berlin! Sam and I went on to write and record together and conceived PaTala (the next album).
Title song written by George, Sam and me. Could be a Bond theme don’t you think?
From the musical Chicago and produced and arranged by Paddy Williams.
Helen Turner and I wrote this and Etienne Daho loved it so much he rewrote the lyrics into French and put it on 3 of his albums! He called it Le Brasier.
Helen Turner, Steve Vintner and I wrote this at Stanley House. Catchy.
By Sam Bonner and Morgan Visconti
Don’t we all feel like this sometimes?
The famous song Smile by Charlie Chaplin. I recorded this for a Macains Oven Chips commercial. Yep! Beautiful arranged and conducted by Simon Hale and remixed for this album by Paddy Williams. Such a classic!
CHANCE OF A LIFETIME
Sam and I wrote this when I was playing Roxie Hart in Chicago which I felt was a chance of a lifetime! Marti Pellow was in the cast and he thought this track should have been called Beneath the Dress inspiring the title of my new show.
Another key and another feel!
